Ebola death toll tops 1.800 in DRC
health
The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo has now claimed more than one thousand eight hundred lives, France 24 reports. Africa's top health agency announced Thursday it will roll out a vaccine targeting a previous strain of the virus to help contain the outbreak, nearly three months after it began. Health officials say the virus is spreading faster than the response, with new cases doubling in some hotspots, and some frontline health workers have gone on strike over unpaid wages.
