According to Ars Technica, ByteDance is training a massive AI model to rival Anthropic. The Chinese tech giant is at an early stage of training a model that could reach ten trillion parameters—three times the size of Moonshot's Kimi K3, the largest Chinese model released to date. Pre-training, which typically takes three to six months, is underway. If the training succeeds, the model will be fine-tuned and released, though the exact final size will be determined later.
