Players use football to champion Afghan women's rights

Afghanistan's women's football team is gathering in New Zealand for a training camp and two friendly matches against the Cook Islands. Per France 24, the twenty-three players, living abroad after being banned from playing at home, are reuniting for the first time since FIFA ruled in April twenty twenty-six that they could represent their country in official matches.
