Judge approves Trump effort to end South Sudan TPS protections

The Guardian reports that a federal judge in Massachusetts has ruled the Trump administration can proceed with ending Temporary Protected Status for South Sudanese nationals in the US. The decision rejected an attempt by immigrant rights organizations to preserve those protections and follows a Supreme Court ruling that similarly allowed the government to strip protections for Haitians and Syrians. Hundreds of South Sudanese nationals currently in the country are affected.
