According to The Guardian, the Trump administration has sent Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook a letter this week signaling the president is considering her removal over allegations of mortgage fraud. Trump levied the same charges against Cook last summer. The latest move comes weeks after a June Supreme Court ruling that upheld the Fed's institutional independence.
