The entangled photons achieved approximately ninety-four percent similarity to an ideal state, suggesting that sunlight could serve as a lower-energy alternative to conventional lasers typically used in quantum technology. This advance could enable simpler quantum satellites, secure communications, and more energy-efficient quantum computing.
