Running the Top Five Hundred Linpak test—used in supercomputer rankings—the Dell's Intel Core 5 Three Twenty processor hit six point two-one gigaflops per watt, outpacing Apple's M4 and M3 Mac Studios and nearly matching the M4 Mac Mini at seven point five-seven. The results suggest ARM's historical power efficiency advantage may stem more from chip design than from ARM's instruction architecture itself.
