The Senate narrowly confirmed Todd Blanche, Trump's former personal lawyer, as attorney general on Saturday, according to France 24, in a fifty to forty-nine vote. Before joining the administration, Blanche represented the president in several criminal trials. Democrats opposed the confirmation, accusing the president of politicizing the Department of Justice.
