Iran sets conditions for reopening Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Supreme National Security Council has outlined conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, per Middle East Eye. Secretary Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr says the U.S. must end threats against Iran and its allies, permanently halt military action, withdraw naval and air forces, compensate Iran for damages from the recent conflict, lift sanctions, and release frozen Iranian assets. In a statement carried by Iran's state broadcaster, Zolghadr said the council will not retreat from these demands, whether in war or in negotiations.
