EU investigators seize 4,200 tonnes of textile waste illegally shipped to Turkey from Italy

EU investigators have seized over four thousand two hundred tonnes of textile waste that was illegally shipped from Italy to Turkey. The operation also uncovered an additional two thousand one hundred tonnes stored at a warehouse connected to a Turkish recycling facility operating without environmental compliance. According to Euronews, France is now pushing other EU countries to take a harder line on ultra-fast fashion, addressing the waste crisis at its source.
