Typhoon Dolphin hits Japan's Okinawa, China shuts ports ahead of landfall

Typhoon Dolphin has knocked out power to tens of thousands of buildings across southern Japan, with nearly thirty-nine thousand affected in Kagoshima and over twelve thousand in Okinawa. According to The Hindu, ANA and Japan Airlines have both cancelled flights to and from Okinawa as the storm bears down. Okinawa is a chain of subtropical islands in southern Japan frequently in the path of Pacific typhoons.
