Colombia rocked by car bomb blast a day after new President takes charge

A car bomb went off at a toll plaza in southwestern Colombia on Saturday, just one day after Abelardo de la Espriella was sworn in as president, according to the Times of India. The army quickly pointed to dissident FARC factions, and two security guards were injured in the blast. The new president responded with a stern warning to armed groups to abide by the rule of law, the paper reports.
