HRF files complaint against Israeli reservist in Vietnam

The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a criminal complaint with Vietnamese authorities against Matan Jerafi, an Israeli reservist and CEO of the Israeli NGO Im Tirtzu, while he is on vacation there. Middle East Eye reports the group alleges Jerafi took part in destroying civilian infrastructure in Gaza between December 2023 and January 2024, and in Lebanon between October and November 2024. The foundation's head of litigation says Vietnam, as a signatory to the Geneva Conventions and the Genocide Convention, is obligated to investigate. HRF also points to a February 2024 statement in which Jerafi said Gaza's civilians were "part of Hamas" and that there should be no mercy for them.
