Aseon Labs, a startup from Y Combinator's latest class, just raised ten million dollars to solve a practical problem: robotaxis currently have to drive miles just to find a place to get cleaned and charged. The company wants to build dedicated pitstops—quick-service locations designed specifically for autonomous vehicle maintenance. The funding round was led by Crane Venture Partners. As robotaxi fleets scale up, reducing deadhead miles on maintenance runs could make a real difference in fleet economics.
