Syria, Russia agree to end military use of key Mediterranean bases

Russia and Syria have agreed to end Moscow's military use of two strategic Mediterranean bases, according to Syria's foreign ministry. Syria will take control of the Hmeimem air base and part of the Tartus port facility, while remaining military infrastructure will be converted into joint training centers, France 24 reports.
