Florian Hoffmann's 'Yazz'—a film about a teenager growing up in a UN compound in the Central African Republic—won two major development awards at this year's Locarno Pro Awards, per Variety. The Swiss-German-French co-production comes from Tellfilm, NiKo Film, and Eaux Vives Productions. It earned recognition through the Alliance 4 Development platform, which supports emerging projects from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.
