Trump appoints staff secretary Will Scharf as new White House counsel

The Guardian reports that Donald Trump announced on Sunday he's appointing Will Scharf as his White House counsel, effective September first. Scharf, who currently serves as staff secretary, previously oversaw a four-hundred-million-dollar White House ballroom renovation. He takes the position from David Warrington, who is departing the administration for the private sector.
