According to Variety, luxury investment firm The Independents has acquired a controlling stake in Phantasm Group, a Paris-based production collective. Founded ten years ago, Phantasm operates three creative labels, including Vixens, the film banner behind James Gray's recent feature 'Paper Tiger' and videos for The Weeknd. The acquisition marks The Independents' expansion into European creative production.
