Woman assaulted after Travelodge staff gave room key to her abuser

A woman was physically attacked after Travelodge staff handed her domestic abuser a room key at a London branch of the hotel chain, the Guardian reports. She had checked in there hoping for a night away from the fear he'd caused, but he tracked her down and reception staff let him in without checking who he was. The Guardian says this is the latest incident of the chain giving out keys to men without verifying them first.
