Drought set to be declared in more parts of England ahead of possible 36C heat

The Guardian reports that England is facing its fifth heatwave of the summer, with drought declarations expected to expand into more regions. The National Drought Group — made up of government, water companies, the National Farmers' Union, the Met Office, and conservation experts — will meet on Monday to assess the situation. Parts of England could see temperatures reach thirty-six degrees Celsius, and amber heat health alerts are already in effect for much of the country.
