A man got 30 years for moving boxes of left-wing zines

According to Boing Boing, a federal judge in Texas has sentenced Daniel Sanchez-Estrada to thirty years in prison. His conviction stems from moving boxes of left-wing zines for his wife, who asked him during a phone call from a detention facility following a protest. Federal prosecutor Frank Gatto explicitly defended the harsh sentence by stating that people with what he described as extremist beliefs should receive extended prison time.
