'Lying mirror' uses structured surfaces to conceal optical information

A research team at UCLA has developed what Phys.org calls a 'lying mirror'—an optical device using structured surfaces to hide information from input images. It transforms what's placed in front of it into a misleading, ordinary-looking pattern instead of a true reflection. The work appears in Nature Communications.
