Luke Plunkett, reporting for Aftermath, has been playing Denshattack—a game built on the inspired pitch of Tony Hawk but as a locomotive. You're locked onto rails steering a train, which trades skateboarding's freedom for the precision thrill of on-rails platforming set against relentless visual chaos: combos cascading into collapsing tracks, mountain crashes, wave-surfing segments, and giant robots tearing through ruined cities. Plunkett finds it genuinely joyous, a Dreamcast-era throwback that somehow feels current, colorful enough to pull multiple audible 'that's cool' moments per level.
