Morocco footballer Hakimi to appeal rape trial order

Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi has appealed to France's highest criminal court following a decision to send him to trial on rape charges. According to France 24, the Versailles Court of Appeals upheld the referral earlier this month after his case was remanded on June nineteenth. Hakimi, a defender for Paris Saint-Germain, faces charges related to an alleged twenty twenty-three incident.
