Originally launched a decade ago, it features a relatively large sensor with five-point-eight-six micron pixels and a global shutter that captures the entire frame at once—critical for preventing atmospheric distortion. Its high frame rate, exceeding one hundred frames per second, enables "lucky imaging": recording thousands of exposures and stacking the sharpest ones for clearer final images. While it's not ideal for deep-sky work, it remains a practical, reliable tool for imaging the sun and moon.
