Venezuelans search for missing as earthquake death toll climbs

Twin earthquakes struck Venezuela late Wednesday, according to France 24. The quakes measured seven point two and seven point five in magnitude, leaving at least nine hundred twenty dead and more than fifty-one thousand missing. The devastation has been especially severe in La Guaira, a coastal town near Caracas, where collapsed buildings have left rescuers searching through rubble for survivors. As rescue operations continue, residents are expressing frustration with what they describe as insufficient government response to the humanitarian emergency.
