Bestselling author Mercedes Ron has signed a first-look deal with Amazon MGM, deepening an already productive partnership with the studio. The Wattpad breakout behind the Culpables trilogy of young adult romances has seen her Spanish-language film adaptations become some of Prime Video's most successful global releases, according to Variety. The new deal positions Ron to develop additional projects with the studio, building on her track record with international audiences.
