Faith March

politics

Faith leaders across Los Angeles organized prayer walks and peaceful protests at the Federal Detention Building in June twenty twenty-five, responding to Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids. Per Nonprofit Quarterly, the Trump Administration described those arrested as "the worst of the worst," yet over half of the detained individuals had no criminal record. Interfaith communities have continued mobilizing in the year since, providing legal assistance, shelter, and spiritual support to affected families. Faith leader Valarie Kaur summed up the commitment at the Federal Building: coming with flowers and love as a guide.
