Navalny’s widow Yulia Navalnaya urges Russians to vote for any party except United Russia in State Duma election

politics

Per Meduza, Russia's Supreme Court has removed the opposition party Yabloko from the State Duma elections after Rodina petitioned to disqualify it, citing copyright violations and extremist campaign slogans. Yabloko had run on an antiwar platform and emerged as a significant opposition rallying point. Yulia Navalnaya, widow of opposition leader Alexei Navalny and director of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, had previously urged Russians to support the party. In response to its removal from the ballot, Navalnaya is now calling on voters to support any party except United Russia in the elections, and to follow Smart Voting recommendations in single-mandate districts.
