Ben Jones, who played Cooter in the Dukes of Hazzard, has died

Ben Jones, who played mechanic Cooter Davenport on The Dukes of Hazzard before winning a seat in the US House of Representatives, has died at eighty-four, ABC News reports. Jones represented Georgia as a Democrat, one of a handful of actors to trade a hit television role for a career in Congress.
