tech

Rocket Lab has unveiled GHOST, a portable spaceport system that packages complete rockets, launch infrastructure, and ground support within standard shipping containers, according to Space.com. The system enables launches of the company's Electron orbital rocket and HASTE suborbital platform from anywhere globally, vastly expanding capabilities beyond its current sites in New Zealand and Virginia. CEO Peter Beck said the system was designed to meet customer demand for flexible deployment, particularly for hypersonic testing missions. Rocket Lab plans to deploy GHOST first at Alaska's Pacific Spaceport Complex and expects to deliver its next-generation Neutron rocket to Wallops Island in the fourth quarter of twenty twenty-six.
