Introducing Muse Glimmer
ai
Meta has released Muse Glimmer, a new thirty-billion-parameter open-weights model under an Apache two-point-zero license, according to Simon Willison's Weblog. The model is optimized for agentic task completion — working within scaffolds, writing and debugging code, and completing multi-turn requests from start to finish. It performs strongly on benchmarks like DeepSearch QA and SWE-Bench, with reliable tool use and multi-step reasoning across extended workflows. Willison tested it and found it particularly attractive for developers with thirty-two gigabytes of RAM or more, leaving plenty of headroom for running other applications simultaneously.
