world
More than one hundred ten people are dead after a powerful earthquake struck western Colombia, the country's most powerful this century, according to the Guardian. In Cali, one of Colombia's largest cities, more than two dozen structures collapsed, trapping people inside, mayor Alejandro Eder said, and the city has asked authorities in Bogota and Medellin to send disaster teams to support rescue efforts. Search teams and civilians are sifting through debris across a wider area, with at least fifteen hundred buildings reported damaged.
