Australia is rolling out H5 bird flu vaccinations for native bird species in captivity as the virus continues to spread across the country. Agriculture minister Julie Collins said on Tuesday that priority captive species would begin receiving shots in the coming days and weeks. The government also hopes to vaccinate some wild birds, though it acknowledges that catching them once — let alone twice for both required doses — is difficult.
