Pakistan's remittance inflows reached three point six billion dollars in July, marking a thirteen percent increase from the same month last year, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan. Per Dawn, the month also showed four point five percent growth compared to June, exceeding government expectations as the new fiscal year begins. The surge is notable given that remittances from the Middle East—Pakistan's largest source, with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates leading inflows—remained strong despite regional instability. This momentum suggests Pakistan's ambitious forty-four billion dollar remittance target for the current fiscal year is within reach, providing crucial foreign exchange support as the country navigates a significant trade deficit.
