Palestinian medics in Israel face incitement over unproven patient abuse claims
politics
A Palestinian rights group is condemning Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir for amplifying unproven allegations against Arab medical workers, according to Middle East Eye. The allegations came from relatives of a soldier treated at Rambam Hospital in Haifa, who claimed Arab nurses mistreated him—ignoring water requests and handling him roughly in bed. The hospital reviewed the incident and explicitly rejected those claims. Yet the ministers publicly took the allegations seriously and called for formal investigations. Palestinian doctors and rights groups say this constitutes incitement against Arab medical staff, part of an ongoing pattern of campaigns targeting Arab healthcare workers in Israel.
