Privatisation Commission approves financial adviser for outsourcing Karachi, Lahore airports
business
Per Dawn, Pakistan's Privatisation Commission has tapped EY-Parthenon to guide the privatisation of two major airport hubs—Lahore's Allama Iqbal International and Karachi's Jinnah International. The move extends a broader government push to outsource state-owned infrastructure, which recently included enlisting the Asian Development Bank for Islamabad's airport, and now encompasses two power utilities as well. Earlier privatisation rounds have already drawn interest from a dozen local and international bidders.
