Investigators in Karachi say chemical and DNA test results in the murder of restaurant owner Mir Raza Ali remain inconclusive, Dawn reports. Ali, who owned the eatery Wafflix, went missing on July twenty-eighth and was found dead the next day with a gunshot wound in the Gulistan-i-Jauhar area. The DNA report confirmed his identity, ruling out social media speculation that someone else had been killed, while chemical analysis found gunshot residue, traces of acid on his shirt, and an anaesthetic painkiller in his blood — though investigators say the two post-mortem reports disagree on which side of his body the bullet entered. As Dawn tells it, the family's lawyer, Jibran Nasir, has accused police of mishandling evidence, including holding the victim's smartwatch for eight days without documentation, while the investigation team turns to phone records and geofencing around the crime scene.
