SpaceX is pivoting from rockets to artificial intelligence, per Space.com. Founder Elon Musk told employees that AI revenue will exceed all other SpaceX revenue as soon as next month, following the company's acquisition of xAI, which created the Grok chatbot and operates the Colossus supercomputer. SpaceX plans to scale its AI computing capacity to ten gigawatts by the end of next year — up from one point four gigawatts today. Musk says that's worth three hundred to five hundred billion dollars in annual revenue at thirty to fifty dollars per watt. Longer term, the company is planning semiconductor manufacturing with Tesla, launching a million AI satellites called Starmind, and eventually building data centers on the moon. Musk promised employees that success in this AI pivot would make space travel available to all of them.
