Hikers lost in Kosciuszko national park rescued within five hours by AI drone

Two hikers who wandered off track in Australia's Kosciuszko National Park are safe after being found in just five hours—thanks to an artificial intelligence-powered drone. Fire and Rescue NSW deployed thermal imaging equipment and spotted a red light signal from one of the men's phones. The hikers, both in their twenties, had veered off the walking trail near Jindabyne and were reported missing Tuesday evening. Officials called it a first-of-its-kind successful mission for AI-assisted search and rescue.
