Thailand has suspended the issuing of firearms licences after last week's school shooting left nine dead, The Guardian reports. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul ordered the interior ministry and police to stop issuing licenses to possess, purchase, and carry guns, calling for what he described as tighter controls and decisive penalties. The bodies of the teenage gunman and the grandparents he killed have since been cremated, according to the paper.
