The Comac C919, a Chinese-built passenger jet competing with Boeing and Airbus, is scheduled to make its first international flight on Wednesday—departing Beijing capital international airport at three PM and arriving in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, roughly two hours later. According to The Guardian, experts say it could take generations for the C919 to meaningfully challenge the Western manufacturers' established dominance of the commercial aviation industry.
