Pete Hegseth has appointed Marc Andreessen and Blake Masters to the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board. Both men have ties to 1789 Capital, a venture fund where Donald Trump Jr is a partner. The fund invests heavily in military and space technology. Andreessen's firm, Andreessen Horowitz—one of Silicon Valley's largest—co-invests with 1789 Capital in three defense contractors. Masters also sits on boards of ventures tied to the fund. The Guardian reports the appointments.
