The full eclipse is unfolding over roughly ninety-six minutes as the moon's shadow sweeps across the region. Even outside the path of totality, a dramatic partial eclipse is visible across much of Europe, with over ninety percent of the sun covered in major cities like London, Paris, and Dublin. For observers: proper solar eclipse glasses are essential during all partial phases, as direct sun exposure can cause permanent eye damage. The only safe time to view without eye protection is during the brief moment of totality, when the moon completely blocks the sun.
