Paid police paternity leave to double after fathers reported being ‘ostracised’

Police in England and Wales are doubling paid paternity leave to two weeks, following a Guardian investigation that revealed officers were being mocked and ostracized for taking time off. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood confirmed the change, which brings fathers' leave into line with mothers' across all forces.
