According to Al Jazeera, two earthquakes that struck Venezuela on Wednesday have left at least nine hundred twenty people confirmed dead, with more than fifty-one thousand reported missing. That number is expected to rise significantly. Rescue teams are working urgently against the critical seventy-two-hour window during which most survivors can still be found beneath the rubble.
