A dangerous heatwave is spreading across Europe. According to The Guardian, temperatures have soared above forty degrees Celsius in Germany and Italy, with Denmark recording its highest temperature on record on Saturday. The Danish Meteorological Institute confirmed thirty-six point six degrees Celsius north of Odense—the warmest day since measurements began in eighteen seventy-four. The extreme heat has already been linked to dozens of deaths across western Europe.
