Trump says he will nominate Lance Schroyer as next ICE director
politics
According to the Guardian, Donald Trump announced Saturday that he will nominate Lance Schroyer as the next director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Schroyer, whom Trump calls 'a patriot,' has twenty-nine years of law enforcement experience in Oklahoma, serving as a state trooper and United States Marine. He previously led a deportation campaign through an ICE-partnered program in the state. Schroyer would replace David Venturella, who was performing the director's duties. Trump highlighted Schroyer's Oklahoma credentials in a Truth Social post, noting the state's significance to his electoral record—he won all seventy-seven counties there in twenty sixteen, twenty twenty, and twenty twenty-four.
