Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced a gun buyback scheme in partnership with New South Wales, agreed in response to the Bondi terror attack. Albanese noted that Australia currently has more firearms than it did at the time of the Port Arthur massacre, when previous gun reforms were implemented. He's inviting all states and territories to join the buyback program, part of ongoing gun law reforms including development of the nation's first national firearms register, The Guardian reports.
