Europe continues to battle wildfires as Belgium sees biggest blaze in recorded history

Belgium is battling the largest wildfire in its recorded history, in the eastern part of the country, which doubled in size over twenty-four hours by Sunday morning, according to Euronews. The EU Civil Protection Mechanism was activated on Saturday, bringing in three helicopters and two water-bombing aircraft from Sweden, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic. It's part of a broader wildfire season straining firefighting resources across Europe.
